When you set out to build your presence on the world wide web, you need to have a hosting account. It's kind of like renting a house, or apartment. You basically rent space on the internet for you to be able to host your site on. This is an absolute necessity, and as certain as death and taxes. In your endeavour to conquer the internet world, you'll need a name for your site, which is hosted on the world wide web. We purchase a name for you, using your company name, or using your preferred name, which is subject to availability. Whichever route is followed, it is good to remember that a website name should not be overly long.

There are basically two ways a website can be built in (there's more, but I'm talking basic layout here). It can be built using tables, or by using layers. The preferred method is using layers, since this ensures a lighter, more manageable site, coding wise. It just makes more sense.

This is the amount of space we give you to host your website on. A typical small website can be anything up to 100 Megabytes in size (and this is really a rough estimate). There's roughly 1000 Megabytes in one Gigabyte.
What it means is, there's more than enough space to host your site, and even back up those photos of Fluffy that's clogging up your hard drive.
Submission of your site to Google search engine, MSN Live Search and Yahoo search
It's good to have a website. It's better to have that website indexed on Google, MSN and Yahoo as soon as possible. Why? Because those are the major search engines that people use to get the information or products they want.
In order for your site to start performing, it needs to be seen.
Setup of up to five email addresses
Let's create a scenario. You've purchased a package from The Big Fish web design. You've got twelve months free hosting, and bought the name www.mybusinessname.com.
In your company, you have five departments; purchasing, admin, complaints, customer service and sales. You'd like an email for each department, using the @mybusinessname.com suffix.
That's where we come in. we set up an email for each department, that'll look something like this:

Each account can be set up using a transfer limit, and Spam Assassin can be installed to help fight unwanted email messages.

An email contact form makes it easy for users of your site to connect with you. They fill in a simple form with information, and this is automatically sent to your email inbox.
Description and keyword meta tags
Meta description and keyword tags are information tags that are inserted into the head of a website, where searchbots and crawlers can access relevant information about your site.
Though the majority of search engines do not pay attention to meta keyword and meta description tags anymore, there are still some crawlers that 'see' them, and thus it is good to have them.
