Panda online anti-virus
So have you received the by now famous 'you have received an e-card from a friend/family member!' email yet? It's a beautifully disguised virus waiting to take a bite out of your computer. I know. I tested it. I full well knew it was a virus, but curiosity got the best of me. I could not resist. I HAD to see what would happen if I click on it. I took one for the team.
It's bad. I sat back and watched over a period of a few weeks as my baby slowly but surely went downhill. I have a virus scanner. A free virus scanner, it must be added. And this seemed to find the virus without any trouble. I knew the location of the virus, and yet, the little bastard was invisible. What to do!
Enter Panda anti-virus. This little bear is not to be messed with, it seems. I downloaded the trial version to see if it would pick up any rubbish. It caught no less than 8 viruses, in different forms (virus, spyware, malware, etc.). I went on to purchase a package which enables online scanning, and is valid for six months, at only 13 or so Euros, which is really not a bad price at all.
I happily report that my baby's back to normal.
